What IF Your Story Sucks: Producing Infinite Form’s first livestream event
In September 2025 I produced Infinite Form’s What IF Your Story Sucks? livestream, a conversation between our host Niky Ellison and guest speaker Jon Rogers. The session explored how storytelling and immersive technology intersect and how to make sure narrative remains at the centre of any creative project. My role covered production, planning, design coordination and post event content.
End to end livestream production
I acted as producer for the session, beginning with a full technical plan and requirements list. I brought in a co-producer to support the live event and ran several rehearsal sessions so the team could test timings, graphics and streaming performance. Although we hit a minor issue at the start of the broadcast, we resolved it quickly and the session continued smoothly.
During the livestream I monitored the feed, relayed audience questions to the host and kept communication flowing behind the scenes so the speakers could focus on the discussion.
Planning and strategy
I created and presented the marketing strategy for the event to senior leadership so we were aligned on positioning, promotion and expected outcomes. I involved all stakeholders and planned every detail from the audience call to action to the different marketing assets we would deliver. To make future sessions easier to produce, I designed a set of planning templates that ensured consistency in approach.
Creative direction and design coordination
I briefed our junior designer on all visual elements for the livestream, including the starting soon card, end card, lower thirds and supporting graphics. I reviewed drafts, provided practical feedback and made sure everything reflected Infinite Form’s visual identity and tone.
Post event content and optimisation
Although the video quality of the recording wasn’t strong enough for clips, I proposed a solution that allowed us to use the best moments from the discussion in an accessible way. I decided to create audiograms instead, enhancing the audio, adding subtitles and generating a waveform so the content could be shared across social platforms and viewed without sound.
Impact
The livestream attracted fourteen live viewers and later gained much more traction on demand. Views increased to 274, with o115 video views and nearly 700 unique viewers over its lifetime. We also gained attendee insights which helped strengthen existing relationships and opened conversations with new contacts.
